One of my favorite go-to pastas couldn't be simpler... cook some hot Italian sausage, add chopped broccoli rabe (I don't even bother to blanch it... I like the bitter edge), a ton of garlic, some red pepper flakes and then a bit of liquid... chicken stock is fine, but if you're feeling decadent... then...
Cream's the way to go.
Cook until the rabe begins to soften. I also like to add a bunch of chopped sage... but then again, I'd probably put sage on cereal! Toss with a favorite pasta, and top with some Parmesan.
This is also great on soft polenta. (And as you can see, I also added a few pignolis... just for fun!)
