So I was scheduled to appear on a Connecticut morning show in Hartford to promote Much Ado this past week, and the idea was that we'd focus on my twin careers in food and performing. Ergo... a cooking segment! I was very excited about this idea, and had gone with the company manager to buy the ingredients for a risotto... something I knew I could cook in my sleep and would, therefore, be able to make while talking about Much Ado... Sort of a rub-your-stomach-and-pat-your-head arrangement!
But the wacky winter of '13-'14 had other ideas (nope... there's no such thing as climate change...) and all in-studio guest segments were cancelled. I'll let you know when we get rescheduled.
This is all to explain why I had a fridge full of herbs waiting to be used! So, breakfast today was my patented slooooooooow-cooked scrambled eggs (and my apartment here in Storrs CT has a glass cooktop, so I can cook the eggs as slowly as I want to) with tons of chives and a bit of sharp cheddar...
Nothing fancy, but what a way to spend yet another snowy Sunday morning.

Tonight, I'm hosting a dinner for CT Rep subscribers at the campus inn and talking about my favorite subjects, Shakespeare and food. I have to say, I wouldn't trade this life for anything... there's never a dull moment. We open in under two weeks, and then have only 10 performances.....
