We won't be here for Christmas. So last night, we celebrated. I made Saltimbocca with chicken breasts, sage, and prosciutto...
And some beautiful tiny Brussels sprouts with nutmeg and a touch of maple syrup. But the pièce de résistance... thanks to the generosity of some colleagues... we had a bottle of real white truffle oil (not the scary fake stuff that should be avoided at all costs!)!

So I made a small batch of mashed potatoes with roasted garlic and, just as I was about to serve, I stirred in a tiny splash of the truffle oil... and I really mean tiny!
Heaven.
