Boise Shocker!

I've been in Boise for almost a week now... Boy, has this place taken me by surprise. I'm not even sure exactly what I expected, except potatoes obviously... but I've been thrown for a loop. It's beautiful... The city is chockablock with parks... and people are biking everywhere (including This Old Chef!!!)

The weather is already getting pretty hot (I will say the sun is brutal here, a half mile above sea level)... but oh joy oh bliss it gets very chilly at night, which makes me happy.

I knew rehearsals would be fun, and they are.  I'm having a blast joining the cast of Blithe Spirit, which I saw (but wasn't in) in Cleveland.  Much Ado starts today, and I'm excited to see everyone... and interested to see how well my brain accommodates a rep rehearsal schedule for the first time in about 20 years. For you civilians, that means I'll split my days running from room to room rehearsing scenes from both plays.

So far, cooking has been minimal... lots of lentils and rice, pesto and, early on, some of the pasta from that buffet for 60 that I helped Bob with the day before leaving Yonkers.  But there are great stores nearby, so I promise to start cooking soon.  In the meantime, I banked some posts whilst I was home shooting Macbeth... so we'll be getting those on the site ASAP.

My housemate for the summer, the lovely and talented Maggie Kettering, and I have discovered one problem with living together... we really like each other and spend way too much time talking!!!
