Another Day After Thanksgiving (Fresh Pasta with Pesto and Turkey)

 

We both wanted pasta.

We both felt the need for a garlic overdose to counteract the colds all around us.

Ergo... pesto!

But we still had some turkey from Thanksgiving.  So why not shred some white meat into our fresh homemade pesto?  And boy did it work!  The only unusual thing I did was to reheat the shredded turkey gently in a little bit of turkey stock before adding it to the pesto.

 Both the turkey and the pesto were perfectly able to remain themselves, while joining happily.  This was an unusual combination that worked perfectly!
