Snack Time! (Fried Chickpeas!)

 

Sometimes, a strong, spicy, salty snack is an absolute must.  And if there's nothing in the cupboard...

Experiment!

I drained a big can of chickpeas (one of the few canned things I always have on hand)...

Rinsed them... dried them.

I heated a few tablespoons of olive oil in a non-stick skillet...  Added the chick peas.  After a few minutes, they started to turn golden...

And I added some curry powder, cayenne, and cumin.  When those became really fragrant, I salted liberally and scooped them out onto paper towels.

Upon tasting... they needed a bit more salt... so I added it...

And we ate them like there was no tomorrow.  (That's the only problem with these:  betcha can't eat just one!!!)

And curry is just the first of many variations!
